We’ve been looking for a home church; however, the ones we have been to are not the way the churches used to be. Fortunately, we were online with one and we truly got a blessing from it. We decided to go there and see if it was like an “old time” church… We’ve been there twice, and we love it. We’re hoping to go again next Sunday. It’s not in our town so we have over an hour to get there. But it is worth it- We love the pastor and his wife and they call us 2-3 times a month to check on us. I just wanted to share that with you in case you are having the same problem.
We’ve been trying to clean all the trash out of our house. We’ve got clothes to give to a Senior Citizen thrift store. You know how we keep them because we think we’ll get back in them? lol
We have 2 chihuahuas that are also my Service dogs. They’re registered and they help me so much. We haven’t taken them anywhere yet because we’ve got to get harnesses and a leash for both of them. Anyone who has one of this breed, we know you wont be disappointed. I’m now able to walk with a walker and sometimes I hold onto Heather’s hand.
I want to share a couple of scriptures that GOD has led me to. I am truly blessed… not with money or new “stuff”. Believe me we are very simple people.
Here is one of them.
Philippians 4:18 (KJV)
I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.
How true that is. I’m no good relying on myself. I make so many mistakes and yet I know Jesus loves me, and GOD knows my heart.
Here is one my pastor gave me:
James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Heather and I battle the enemy everyday. We resist by using the Word of God to make him and the many spirits that like to frustrate, torment and make life miserable, leave in the name of Jesus.
I certainly hope I haven’t offended any of you. I just wrote the words that the Holy Spirit places in my heart.
Thank you for reading my blog. I know that there are some who need and appreciate what I have to write. I write it because I want to share a lot of stories about my life and how I live. Heather has to tell me many time to get out of the big picture of what we need to do and stay in the little picture of what we have to do today. She’s a wise woman.
I hope to be back on here tomorrow to give you more stories and some scriptures that have really pulled me out of “slumps”.
Love and Peace
Debbie
